Hi, I’m Tashia. I’m a photographer, visual storyteller, and multi-passionate creative living on Vancouver Island.
I’ve spent the past 15+ years documenting people, landscapes, and fleeting moments with heart and intention. Photography is my first language—the place where I feel most connected, most curious, most alive. But it’s not my only medium.
Alongside my work behind the lens, I’m also a meditation teacher, writer, and printmaker. I’ve always followed what moves me, what quiets the noise, what creates space for meaning. Whether it’s guiding breathwork by the water, carving linocuts in the studio, or capturing a portrait that feels like truth, my creative life is stitched together by the same thread: presence.
I care deeply about how things feel. I want to make work that slows people down, helps them remember who they are, and gives them permission to take up space as their full selves. This shows up in my photography, in my meditative offerings, and in the way I build relationships, with clients, collaborators, and my own creativity.
I’ve photographed everything from intimate weddings and boudoir sessions to quiet still lifes and wild landscapes. What stays consistent is my approach: thoughtful, observant, and intuitive. I don’t believe in rushing or forcing. I believe in witnessing.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me by the ocean, chasing golden light, drinking tea, or dreaming up the next creative project. My life is full of shifting roles and seasons, but my commitment is always the same: to show up with honesty, artistry, and heart.
If you’d like to work together, or just say hi, I’d love to hear from you.
A Few Things About Me:
• I don’t do small talk well, but I can talk about purpose, grief, and joy for hours.
• I feel things deeply and often get swept up in ideas. Some become art, some become businesses, some just keep me up at night.
• I’ve lived a lot of creative lives—photographer, designer, writer, meditation guide, and somehow they all keep circling back to the same questions.
• I’m a coffee girl through and through. Double espresso with a splash of coconut milk and a dash of cinnamon.
• I feel most like myself near water. Ocean, river, rain—it’s all part of the process.
• I believe in letting things take the time they need. Whether it’s a photo, a project, or a season of becoming.
