Hi, I’m Tashia

Instead of some ChatGPT-generated ‘about me’ or trying to put into words who I am and how I approach my work, I’ll leave you with my astrological resume, provided to me by my astrologer.

”Tashia has Venus touching both of her luminaries, making her someone with a strong affinity for art. She carries this love for beauty into every area of her life and allows it to touch the lives of everyone around her. A true girls girl and a fierce supporter of women.

She is also blessed with a Grande Air Trine, which makes her a thought leader who truly carves her own path, illuminating for others what is possible.

Jupiter in Scorpio in the 5th house gives her the gift of a deep well of creativity. This isn’t just surface-level crafts and joy — this is healing through self-expression. Tashia draws meaning from passion and guides others to connect the dots for themselves. “

Let's work together

The thing about me is:

  • I don’t do small talk well, but I can discuss purpose, natural health, and esoteric topics for hours.

  • I feel things deeply and often get swept up in ideas. Some become art, some become businesses, some just keep me up at night.

  • I’ve lived a lot of creative lives: photographer, designer, writer, meditation guide, and somehow they all keep circling back to the same questions.

  • I’m a coffee girl through and through, double espresso with a splash of coconut milk and a dash of cinnamon.

  • I feel most like myself near water. Ocean, river, rain, it’s all part of the process.

  • I believe in letting things take the time they need. Whether it’s a photo, a project, or a season of becoming.

FAQs

What kind of photographer are you?

I’m a portrait photographer who works with intention rather than speed. I focus on women, families, and creatives who want images that feel genuine, modern, and grounded. I’m not chasing perfection. I’m looking for presence.

What is your approach during a session?

Calm, observant, and collaborative. I guide when you need direction and step back when something real is happening. Most people loosen up after about 10-20 minutes. After that, the portraits get good.

What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?

You’re in the majority. Nearly everyone feels that way and nearly everyone is wrong about it. My job is to help you settle in so you stop thinking about how you look and start experiencing the moment.

What are your credentials?

I hold a B.A. in Graphic Design, where photography was a central part of my four year program and where I developed my eye for composition, light, and visual intention. I’m also a certified 200 hour meditation teacher, which shapes the calm, grounded way I work with people.

My perspective is influenced by a long personal history as well. I come from a lineage of seamstresses who taught me to notice detail, craftsmanship, line and shape. I also spent my childhood in ballet, studying the body, movement, and expression. Those early influences still inform the way I direct, the way I read posture, and the way I look for quiet, natural lines in a portrait.

Beyond formal training, I have more than twenty years of experience in self development spaces and real life work with women navigating change. All of this combines into a practice that is technically strong, emotionally intelligent, and deeply observant.
